Hows that?
Discovering you have a stress fracture in your shins should normally be a nightmare for a triathlete but when you are a swimmer and not a runner it is unbelievably easy to just not go running. For the next 6 weeks I am out of running action but that is hardly going to prevent me from reaching other goals. This week I signed up to do my Australia swim competitive coaching course so by the end of...

Love Life
I can’t get over how amazing cycling is. When you are cycling you become so PRESENT, you truly are focused on how amazing the view is, the breeze in your hair, the ability to transport yoruself from A to B without intoxicating the air. The Tour de France has been amazing to follow, and no more so than the Time Trial last evening. Boy, Cadel Evans you are amazing! 34 years old and...

And the next plan starts!
I have just completed my 8 week winter training programme, it was a bit up and down thanks to winter colds and the like but overall I am happy with my fitness levels! Last week I joined Fitness First with the hope I will spent less time doing cardio and more time improving my strength so I can perform better when i do cardio. It is fantastic because they have a great steam room so I can stretch...

Blood Type Diet.
Wow. I know horoscopes are phony, but I hope this isn’t. The description about my blood type is so unbelievably true about me.  WOW! http://www.dadamo.com/bloodtype_O.htm

Hiding My Addiction
This one is for one of my followers - Dan? calmandcourage: It started with swimming.  I was just a kid.  I signed up for a youth swim team, and then swam on my middle school team, and then on a USA Swimming summer team, and then on my high school team, and then on my college team, and then on a masters team. But it didn’t end there. Read More

The musings of andywg: 18 months of walking →
Awesome - exactly what I need to hear when I have this stupid issue with my legs! It can be done.  andywg: Yesterday was 5 July 2011, that’s 18 months after 5 January 2010. The importance of the latter of the two above dates is it was when I went to the consultant and he first told me to lose the moonboot and to start walking (Well, hobble at the start) unaided. It was scary; no crutches, no...

Running Pain
Lots of built up scar tissue, apparently not able to run, so I’m replacing with walking and stretching sessions. Just bought me a sweet Foam Roller and stretch band, now just need a wooden end of a broom stick for the really painful stuff. Getting my dad to send me over some Anti-Flamme from NZ too as it is my favourite cream!  http://www.antiflamme.co.nz/ Had a cruisy day today, slept...

Cycling death - Aussie star! #tourdefrance
Aussie star Carly Hibberd has died whilst training in Italy, 26 years old. Such a horrible tradgedy for Australia and Queensland. I imagine everyone at the Giro Donne will be pretty wrecked right now.  http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/aussie-cycling-star-carly-hibberd-dies-in-crash/story-e6frecj3-1226089439935

Triathlon - Love
Currently I am riding a lot (well a lot by my standards)…The following short brief (taken from another cycling blog thanks!) gives you an outline of my sport status. I’m originally a swimmer and hockey player, so triathlon is new to me. But I love it, it’s an awesome challenge trying to fit three sports in.    Age: 25 Location: Brisbane, Australia (Originally a Kiwi) Race...

OH YES GARMIN CERVELO
What a great start to the tour for them!  Big ups to Julian Dean from New Zealand for doing his job on the team so well and a final 7th placing.  I’m glad to own a Cervelo!

GARMIN-CERVELO!!!!
Very impressed with the team time trial win. Last Wel I went to order their team kit and it was $270 chances are its way more expensive and hard to get our hands on now. I love my Cervelo. I love my Garmin heat. Good work!
