WOW THAT WAS INSANE. I’m on holiday in Auckland right…and decide to check out what my DAD is doing for fitness, he couldn’t make it today due to injury…but I still went! Twice a week there is a 7am 1 hour long fitness session at Ringside Boxing. My dad (51) goes (when he isn’t injured) twice a week. I go, first time this is how it kind of looked. Shuttle Runs...

Spuds An Endangered Species? By Kate Kellaway Potatoes beware. Australian dietary guidelines are changing, and the experts have you firmly in their sights. Dietary tough talk The average Australian adult eats far too...
Adults that take the lift instead of the stairs when they don’t need to. #I am lugging a suitcase around uni today what is your excuse?
ADHD? Depression? Gut Flora is key!
I’ve been reading a lot lately about the correlation of gut issues and mental health. The following article explains a lot of that and suggests Fermented veges…I’m no old school homebody so the thought of making my own sounds rough…but this article is pretty interesting. Check this article out here: ...
Wanting to cure cancer naturally?
Many would have heard about Apricot Kernels and the benefits, they are now often stocked in Health stores. Then there are the people that say “don’t eat them, they contain cyanide”. This is true, but if you are a cancer patient, your cells behave differently! Check out this article here: http://www.naturalnews.com/035554_laetrile_cancer_cure_cyanide.html
Well it’s 5am on Saturday. I am wide awake. I haven’t slept it all night but I have been lying in bed (eyes shut) with vivid awake dreams…you know the ones where you are kinda sleeping but kinda awake. Essentially before my work out I took 4 caffeine pills and a serving of mesomorph last night. Yup last night I was a shaking - over caffeinated mess, I found it hard to keep it...

Hell yes HANSON
Yoh may be too young to remember but Hanson were my first and only music love growing up, I always felt disassociated wwith music other than them. Anyway… In September they are touring Australia and I am going to their Coolloongatta show. I missed tickets to Brisbane as im clearly too slow. You have no idea how excited I am. Their new album (2 years old now) is awesome! And I have only...
7 days and I’ll be on way back home to Auckland for 6 nights. I cannot wait, I miss my Dad, bro, nana and family a lot. I plan on hitting up my dads boxing class and a cross fit sesh or two with my brother from other parents haha. After watching a video @thatchickistragic posted on facebook I can say I definitely want to learn some Olympic lifts this next quarter!
For those new followers on Jan 6 I did my first dexa xray scan to determine my bone density and full body fat percentage at Body Composition Qld. I was 27.5% bf and 65 kgs (im 166cm). I have booked in for my next scan for this Fri am. My goal was 22.5% but I don’t believe I will achieve that not due to lack of trying but my body appears not to be accepting nutrition like it should. ...
Love: shaved legs on guys
Generally a cyclist thing. It just looks so tidy.
Ups and downs.
Everyone has them, and you know what im starting to truly believe the correlation is strong between poor nutrition and the downs. I see the amazing difference it has made to my mum. For my whole life mum has struggled with mental illness, but in the last 4 weeks since I’ve been training with her she has not had one sad moment. She is motivated, researching nutrition, she wants to start a...
I forgot how good I am at being the drunken egg. It’s been since 1 Jan that I have drunken enough to get wasted. I didn’t even drink much lsat night, but I did legs before coming out and I didn’t eat/recover properly soooooo…messy kmac ensued. I apologize to EVERYONE. Now all I want is food at 6 am. Paleo post earlier
I’ve had a lot of comments about the Paleo post earlier today. I don’t live a ‘Paleolithic’ lifestyle, I eat junk food occasionally (very), I reach for whatever is closest if I am unprepared, I don’t punish myself for it, and I eat high energy carbohydrates in the form of grains after I exercise to replace my energy levels. And in fact, I don’t eat a lot of...
Best month of the year without a doubt. 1. Easter 2. Great weather 3. My birthday 4. Visit home (New Zealand) 5. ANZAC day holiday 6. Goal assessment and reassessment month And successfully attempted kayaking - a new sport! Long way off perfecting that though.
A problem with Paleo? →
Attempting to do double unders in short shorts and a speed rope = lashes on the backs of my thighs :(
Smashing the week!
Happy Easter everyone. I had the most amazing time on the Gold Coast tanning, swimming, learning to kayak in a KSOMETHING more swimming, 50kmsof cycling and eating. I have now finishedmy 12 week programme and have two weeks of unstructured Training before I do my next DEXA scan. Yesterday I smashed a leg session, really trying to practice getting deep so I have taken a lotof weight off my squat....
You know those moments, an awesome reflective song comes on (as in right now) and a not so distant memory of something fantastic comes to mind. They hurt when you know you won’t have more memories with that person again. :’(
@Thatchickistragic - protein bars
Totally agree and was going to post about it today too. Last night I was given a sample bar from the shake bar at my gym for after my workout. I’ve never got into the protein bar thing for the reasons in your post, full of crap!!! Thought I would try this sample, had it in halfs and it just felt heavy and not like it was serving a purpose. Give me some wpi and electrolyte instead thanks...
Reblog if you're in your 20's and are losing...
lilblonderunnergirl: helloconfidence-goodbyefatass: My birthday is in a couple weeks, and I’ll be 26. Standing on the street corner surrounded By unhealthy people it’s gross. Smokers, people eating maccas yuck. The smell of a hash brown almost made me heave. Wow how things have changed. You are a direct product ( generally) of the things you subject your body to. Food, chemicals, water, exercise etc. Make it a bloody good choice.
Phillip day - food matters
Seriously there isn’t any more truth in that statement “Food matters”. If you haven’t heard of Phillip Day please go to www.credence.org Food is absolutely crucial to our immune system. The top 5 diseases we face in the first world are diseases from chronic malnutrition. We as western world are doing things fundamentally wrong. Overload your body with healthy...
Boom!! I made it, 3 months! This is my last week of my 12 week program, now I would get my final measurements taken this Fri but it’s Good Friday so I am going to save it for the week ending April 22. I set a goal at the beginning of this year to drop 5% bf by my bday (April 22) so that im at 22% total body fat. So I’ll do it then. I also think the extra couple of weeks of intense...
